LED's are gaining popularity and gradually replacing older illuminationtechnologies. Unlike fluorescent or neon tubes, which have a 360°angle of dispersion, LEDs typically have a much narrower angle of40°-140° and under traditional lighting covers (opals and diffusers)appear as tiny spots of light. This undesirable phenomenon isreferred as "hot spots".

They can be machined and heat processed like standard acrylic sheets andcomply fully with ISO 7823-1 standards.
