Diffuser Plate/Diffusion plate cause a great deal of interference for light, regardless of the original design of the light distribution curve. The beam angle will trun into 160 ~ 176 °as long as it goes through the diffuser plate. So it will present a hazy feeling if you see from the side.

According to the classification of optical principle, diffusion plate is only divided into two kinds, one is to make beam angle larger while another kind maintain the original angle.
According to the material classification: glass, polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate PET, PMMA, MMA .... etc. Translucent polymeric materials or synthetic materials can be made into diffusion materials for different applications.
